It's a girl!!!! How exciting--He'll come around (Hubby I mean) start burning supper until he gives in!
I'm mommaj's daughter in law in case you can't place me. I wanted to give our baby girl a middle name--after my mom even--, but husband was totally against it. We debated and debated, but I finally won when I brought it up one last time right after delivery. I think he was just so happy everyone was good and healthy he would have agreed to anything.
Stephen is King of killing good baby names. The only way I got him to consider one was to drop it entirely and then go through the whole rest of the baby book. Once Phil sees there are no other names better, he may come around- you have to make it kind of his idea maybe . . . Also, agreed to wait until baby arrives. He can have one he likes and you can have yours (that you have not pushed on him) and then you can decide- he will go with you. You just gave him another child!! Putty in your hands.
Just stick with it. And keep saying it over and over, always refer to her as said name and Phil will get used to hearing the name and come to like it. That is what Ryan did and thus we have Katelyn.
First, I'm gonna need to know what the name is. However, just tell him that when he pushes one of your kids out of a small opening in his body then he can decide that child's name.
By the way, this is Michelle, not Jeff. I guess I forgot to log him off.
This happened with my parents when Haylee was born; My mom wanted to name her "Devanie" and my dad didn't like it so they decided on Haylee. Well, 14 months later I was born and my dad said about me, "That's our Devanie!". You never know, maybe it still is one of your baby names, maybe it's just not THIS baby's name! If my dad hadn't disliked my name at first, Haylee would have been Devanie and we all know how WRONG that would be! But I still hope you get to use the name you love- I agree with your friend Michelle! xo
tell me the name and i will tell you the answer. just kidding i don't know any secret tricks I am just really curious!
Oh man. I don't know what to tell ya. I know that when "Wyatt" came to me I prepped Keith beforehand saying not to throw it out too fast, because it sounded really good and really right and I wanted him to keep an open mind. And he did, and it stuck! Maybe just start throwing other strange names at him, and by the time another month rolls around your original name will start to sound much more appealing! Ha!
Chad says to tell us the name and then he'll let you know....Go figure!
Chad and Julie...you ready for the big reveal :) The name is Brielle. He hasn't come up with a better name and we're just 7 weeks out from having this kid!! I think I'm going to win this one :) Chad, you like it right???!!!!!!!!
